Meet Niah Welsh, recruitment resourcer at Ten Live. Niah joined Ten Live as an apprentice 1 year ago and is a motivated and enthusiastic team member who is building an amazing career here at Ten Live.

We asked Niah a few questions about her Ten Live experience so far, since joining, as an apprentice, and why she chooses to stay.

Here’s what she had to say

1. Why did you choose to join Ten Live or what attracted you to join Ten Live?

I worked in the Atrium Business Centre as a part-time cleaner. I would see the Ten Live team and how hard-working they were and had so much fun together. Their dynamic encouraged me to speak with one of them, resulting in me handing in my CV.

Their positive interactions made me want to be part of such a close-knit team. Joanne, our inspiration leader, called me and invited me for an interview. I jumped at the opportunity. I have been so grateful as it was a chance for me to grow and I have learnt so much ever since as a permanent member of their thriving team.

2. What’s the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is providing people with work and filling shifts. You always get a rush of excitement when you get someone into a position. Especially if they haven’t been in work for a while due to unfortunate circumstance.

You feel like you are really making a difference and contributing to a person’s life.

3. Why do you choose to stay at Ten Live?

I choose to stay at Ten Live because I really enjoy my job.

Working at Ten Live is a great opportunity, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I am constantly learning new things and seeing different ways in which to deal with situations.

I am bettering myself every day as there is always something new to learn. I never get bored being part of the Ten Live team.

4. Are there any particular benefits that you really value and why?

Joanne and Gary are very rewarding to us. When we do something well they recognise it and do a wee something to congratulate us.

And this year, Ten Live is off to Tenerife. How amazing is that?!

Nothing ever goes unseen here and you always get credit for work well done.

It’s so beneficial that feeling of appreciation. It motivates me to better myself and gives me confidence.

5. What motivates you at Ten Live?

I feel motivated everyday by the people who surround me.

I feel encouraged by my colleagues who assist me in being a better recruitment resourcer and care about my progress.

The Ten Live team are constantly giving me advice and teaching me different strategies. Also, when I see them work so hard it motivates me to do better. They make great role models for the younger generation at Ten Live.
