We caught up with Holly who recently joined the team here at Ten Live as Driving Recruitment Consultant. Holly has over 13 years’ experience in driving recruitment and is one of the most experienced and highly-respected consultants in the supply chain logistics recruitment sector in Scotland and the UK.
Holly’s previous experience includes responsibility for resourcing an extremely busy driving recruitment desk, recruiting and managing temporary drivers from 3.5T, 7.5T to Class 1 (LGV1) and Class 2 (LGV2) , interviewing and placing candidates, administration, candidate and client relationship management, client business development.

Q. What’s The Best Thing About Your Job?
Holly: “I love the variety and the fact that every day is different, dealing with different clients and contractors every day. More than that, I love the people aspect. I work so closely with our contractors and clients, so get to know them really, really well and I’m able to build great working relationships over a long period of time. A lot of our driving contractors have been with Ten Live for years, so we know their background and lifestyle well. Ten Live appreciates and values its drivers and their loyalty. I know exactly what type of work our drivers are looking for and will always go out of my way to match the type of shifts they’re looking for with the work we have available.”
Q. What Are The Challenges?
Holly:” Ever since I started working in driving recruitment there have always been skills shortages in the sector. We’re having to compete all the time with other agencies for drivers. But if you work for a well-respected driving recruitment agency like Ten Live, then recruiting and keeping drivers is so much easier. That’s one of the reasons I joined Ten Live as they do have such a great reputation. Ten Live genuinely does look after its drivers and clients well. We always manage to attract enough drivers and the right kind of driving contractors for our clients. Our drivers are reliable, skilled, quality staff – so many of our driving contractors are in regular work as they’re requested time and again by the same client”.

Q. Sum up your job in one word!
Holly: “Banter! I’m on the phone a lot to our drivers and clients, so get to know them pretty well. It’s a tough job sometimes balancing call-offs, changes to shifts etc., so having a bit of a chat and a laugh makes the job a whole lot easier for everyone!”
