2. Data Scientists

Data scientists utilise their analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets. They have a wide range of technical competencies including statistics and machine learning, coding languages, databases, machine learning, and reporting technologies. The average pay for a Data Scientist, IT is £35,735 per year.

3. Site Managers/Construction Managers

A site manager also sometimes has the title of construction manager, building manager or site agent. He or she will oversee operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards. An average salary for a construction manager in the UK is £57,000, with a range from £47,500 to £67,500, with a range from £25,529 to £60,180. 

4. Java Developers

A Java developer is a specialised type of programmer who may collaborate with web developers and software engineers to integrate Java into business applications, software and websites.  They are involved throughout the entire development lifecycle of a product and must be able to identify and analyse any issues or problems and be able to come up with an efficient solution. Other duties may include collating and documenting user requirements, analysing data and quality assurance testing. The average pay for a Java Developer is £34,463 per year, with a range from £23,008 to £52,214.

The role of Accountant is to provide continuous improvement of accurate income information that covers group financial/management accounting and performance reporting along with variance analysis. There is a strong emphasis on finance business partnering with internal stakeholders and operational management teams understanding their revenue and supply chain costs within their specific contracts.  The average pay for a Java Developer is £34,463 per year, with a range from £23,008 – £52,214.

6. Full Stack Developers /Computer Programmers

Full Stack Developers are computer programmers who are proficient in both front and back-end coding. Their primary responsibilities include designing user interactions on websites, developing servers and databases for website functionality and coding for mobile platforms. The average pay for a Computer Programmer is £30,473 per year, with a range from £19,544 – £55,224.

7. Building Surveyors

Building surveyors offer advice on many aspects of design and construction, including maintenance, repair, refurbishment and restoration of proposed and existing buildings. They offer quality assessments and report on defects in, or ways of improving, all kinds of buildings. The average pay for a Building Surveyor is £29,466 per year, with a range of £19,059 – £44,716.

8. Quantity Surveyors

Quantity surveyors are responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. For the past few years, quantity surveying graduates have been in demand with employers. The average salary for Quantity Surveyor jobs is £52,500, with a range from £42,500 to £62,5000.

9. Risk Analyst

A financial risk analyst’s role is to formalise the process of risk management within an organisation. This involves business decision-making and enabling the process of risk-taking. Operational risk analysts look at the likelihood of risky events, such as system breakdowns and employee fraud. The average salary for a risk analyst at the start of 2019 is£33,765, with a range from £23,495 – £53,113.

Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions. Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants. The average salary for a finance manager is £38,138, with a range from  £24,634 – £59,781.
